If you have a motorcycle trip in Michigan and you’re looking for somewhere to go, there are two places that are very good. The first is The Village at Harbor Island. You can take a ferry to the island from Chicago, but that’s pretty expensive. The Village at Harbor Island is a private island owned by a company that offers a lot of amenities for a small fee. This includes free wifi, grocery stores, a bakery, and really cool beach.
Ive been to the village at Harbor Island a few times but it has never been more than an hour drive from Chicago. Its a place I will always go back to and it’s a good place to hang out with people that don’t really know you.
Ive never been there but I know it is a hidden gem that is worth the drive. It is a beautiful place and it has some great stores. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive. You can find the villages at Harbor Island for about $500 per person and a ferry ride which can be a bit of a hike.
