I’ve been a Michigan resident my entire life and have found Michigan probation to be a pretty frustrating place to live. I feel like I’m constantly being judged based on my actions, not my character. The biggest problem for me is that I have no idea what I’m doing in terms of probation. I feel like nothing I say will hold up in court, for example.
It’s all on you, really, and there’s nothing you can really do about it. It doesn’t even matter that you can’t tell the judge what you think of them in front of a judge, because they already know what you think of them based on what they’ve said about you. The key is to keep your mouth shut and be aware of your surroundings at all times. That’s the key to keeping your probation a positive experience.
One of the biggest problems with probation is the way judges treat probationers. In Michigan, as a probationer is being arraigned in court, you have to be present at all times. You cant leave the courtroom or the courtroom is monitored 24/7. The judge is also not allowed to see any probationers while they’re on probation. It’s not enough that they go away for a few days, or just a few days. They have to be there at all times.
This is probably the biggest reason I don’t like probation in general. It’s not enough that the sentence be served. If the judge can’t monitor you, you cant be released. And if you’re not there, you cant be re-arraigned.
This is the same reason I avoid probation in games. The only time I was ever really a probationer was when I was a kid. I was in jail for a year for smoking pot, being an idiot, and selling out to the gang banger. I didnt do any of these things for an entire year. I just went off to school and forgot all about it.

A probation officer is an adult who is assigned to supervise a child. The probation officer can be a parent, guardian, teacher, counselor, lawyer, or any other adult who believes that the child should have some sort of supervision. Basically, your probation officer is a “guardian” of your child in a very specific way.
The main reason for an officer to be assigned to supervise your child is to try to get the children to behave in a way that the officer can understand. Even though these children are no longer involved in any of the actions you are taking, they remain part of the probation officer’s job.
Because kids don’t have to be in such a tight spot because of their age, most probation officers are older than most adults. Many of them are retired, so they will be more educated about what is acceptable behavior in a child. On the other hand, your child may be an adult and therefore in a slightly different place than the parents. If your child is an adult, it may be too late to do anything about your child.
The other thing that is absolutely necessary to have the probation officers do their job well is to ensure that they are properly armed. The most important thing is to ensure that they are fully trained and equipped to handle the responsibilities of the probation officers. We all know that the officer you are training is a complete failure of the whole life cycle.
