Roshan pulls off the feelings required of him properly, it’s the perfect launch for him as a hero. Sree Leela seems adorable and deals well with the abundance of fruits and ice. Rest of the actors pull off their roles nicely.
K Raghavendra Rao, who directed over 100 motion pictures, is the Direction Supervisor of Pelli SandaD. But the least mentioned about the film’s script and path, the better. Debut director Gowri Ronanki fails to impress together with her execution. She succeeds in dealing with a few emotional scenes within the second half and extracting nice performances from her actors, though. When a narrative as old as hills and rocks is picked and narrated in a dated fashion, the end result’s Pelli SandaD. Right from the word go, the film suffers in its writing. It fails to establish why a younger woman desires of constructing the biopic of Vasisth and why she would threaten to kill herself if she doesn’t fulfill her want. And the doting father will get Vasisth so easily and learns about his story from himself.

Cliched and predictable scenes make us squirm in the seats. Pelli SandaD’s basic story, comedy, emotions, drama and even actors’ characterizations give us a sense that we are watching 80s and 90s Telugu films. In an overview, Pelli SandaD is a outdated romantic love drama that fails to impress the viewers in each side. Though Roshan and Sree Leela make an excellent pair, the ages old storyline and remedy makes Pelli SandaD a disappointing watch throughout this festival season.
