This law, put forward in 2009, has become a hot-button issue since it was first signed into law. In 2010, the Obama Administration released a report concluding that the law was unnecessary and ineffective. In 2013, the Obama Administration repealed the law.

The law has become a very hot-button issue in the wake of President Obama’s announcement that he wants to eliminate the use of racial slurs and other forms of discrimination in many public places. The Zero Tolerance law’s purpose is to reduce discrimination against minority workers in the construction industry.

The purpose of the zero tolerance law is to put a stop to discrimination against minority workers by requiring that all contractors who receive federal funds for construction, such as the military or government agencies, must hire minority workers. These contractors are required to hire minority workers by contract, but if they don’t, they can be sued for discrimination. One company that’s been sued is General Electric (GE), the company that has been receiving a lot of federal funds to build power plants.

The zero tolerance law doesn’t seem to be working as intended. There are plenty of contractors who are hiring minority workers because they think they are getting special treatment, but there are plenty who arent. Of course, there are also plenty of companies that aren’t hiring minorities and are just discriminating against them. There are too many companies that are trying to discriminate against minorities to list them all.

The problem here is the law isnt working as intended. It was originally intended for companies that wanted to hire workers from certain ethnic and racial backgrounds after the 1964 Civil Rights Act. But a whole slew of the law’s new provisions have only been brought into effect in the past few years, mostly in response to the backlash against this bill in the civil rights movement.

In the case of zero tolerance laws, the intent was to stop discrimination against minorities. Basically, it meant businesses would not hire an African American or a Hispanic if they didn’t want to hire an African American or a Hispanic in the first place. That’d be discrimination, and it’s not.

Zero tolerance laws were created to address the very real issues with discrimination and racial tension that have plagued the United States. They were, and are, generally aimed at businesses like strip-clubs, bars, restaurants, and any place where there are people of color. And they have been in effect for about 15 years now. Some state legislatures have proposed bills, but so far none have been passed.
