In The Self-Awareness Series, the author, Jonathan Haidt, takes a look at how the self-awareness we often put on hold in our day-to-day lives affects the rest of the world.
Jonathan Haidt is a professor of psychology and a professor of cognitive neuroscience at the University of Chicago. He’s been writing a book about the self-awareness that guides us through our day-to-day lives for the last few years. You can read his blog here, or listen to some of his podcasts on iTunes.

The self-awareness we put on hold in our day-to-day lives is the kind of self-awareness that makes us able to think about what we were doing at certain points in our lives in a completely unplanned way. If we had done something earlier in our day, we would probably make a different decision. If you put on your mind’s eye what you were going through that day, you probably wouldn’t have made the same decisions.
The Blue Book is sort of the first step in the self-awareness process. It describes the five key areas that self-awareness requires in order to be able to recognize when we’ve slipped up and get our shit together. It also describes some of the ways in which we can work to improve our self-awareness, and how we can improve our self-awareness in the future.
The Blue Book is more like a checklist than a playbook.
The Blue Book works like a checklist. It describes what we need to do in each of the five areas. So when we find ourselves slipping up, it helps us to identify the areas where we need work. As for the future, it focuses on some of the self-awareness issues that come up, like where we are right now, and what we can do to make sure that we’re learning from the past.
That being said, the Blue Book is not a checklist. It just describes what you need to do to achieve specific goals. In other words, it’s a little more like a roadmap than a checklist. You can go back and take a look at that list to see if you missed any steps.
If you’d like to go on a journey, try to follow the book’s recommended list. Some things might not be listed, like how to get in touch with the general world, or how to get a place to stay. Maybe you’d like to do the same thing, but the general world is not listed.
