In the United States, clones are legal if they have not been registered with the federal government. They are also legally allowed for use in commercial endeavors, however. The government allows this use because it is helpful to the economy.
In my opinion, it is a very dangerous idea because cloning is the way that modern technology was developed. Think about it this way: Back in the day, you would have to go to a doctor and get a blood sample, which would have to be done very quickly. This is because the human body can only handle so many blood samples at a time. What if there was a way to make more of these blood samples quickly and cheaply? The idea of cloning was born from this desire.
The problem is that the cost of cloning is really high. Even if a company could make clones at a very affordable price, they would still be very expensive. The high cost is why cloning is a very risky and dangerous idea. The people who make them (and pay the high fees) are still very wealthy. But the clone has no way to know who they are, and most people can’t really care less about them.
Cloning is illegal in most countries. In Russia, cloning is forbidden to those with criminal records, and it’s even outlawed in the US. There are many countries in Europe that restrict the use of cloning.
But that’s not the point. The point is that buying a clone is much cheaper (especially when you consider that a clone is much, much less expensive than a real person) if you can get a clone from someone who has no problem with it. Or if you can get a clone from a company that has no problem with it. Or if you can get a clone from a company that is doing good work. That’s one of the main reasons why clones are so highly sought after.
In most countries where cloning occurs, you don’t have to pay any taxes on the money you buy the clones with. But in Germany, the Netherlands, and the U.S., you do. You may be fined up to $25,000 or imprisoned for up to a year for importing cloning clones without a license.
Not that I will ever take your money, but the fact is that I have already purchased clones.
A clone can be a little more expensive than a standard one, so you may have to factor in a premium price before you purchase a clone. Clones are mostly used in the medical field, mostly because they are faster and cheaper than human-loyalty clones made from eggs. Clones are also used as a way to clone human genes, creating a super-cloned person for research purposes.
People have been cloning for thousands of years, of course, but cloning clones has been legal for several decades. According to the Federal Trade Commission, clones are not considered “personal property” under the FTC Act. They are allowed to be sold, but cloning is not allowed to be used for commercial purposes.
The FTC is aware that a number of cloning companies have been selling clones, but the FTC has not taken any official action. With those types of laws, it would seem this would be an issue.
