As a gun owner, I’ve always felt a sense of responsibility to keep my guns safe. I’ve owned guns since I was a child, and I have no plans of ever using them. I won’t even go down in history as the person who was the first person to own an illegal gun.
The thing is, Ive recently been seeing a lot of illegal guns and am starting to wonder if that is an accurate statistic. Ive been a gun owner for as long as I can remember, and my experiences are always very positive.
Ive been involved in the law enforcement field for more than 35 years and always had a solid background in firearms. Ive always owned the same gun: a Smith and Wesson M&P, a.38, and a.357 magnum. Ive owned many guns of different calibers and have no plan to ever get rid of any of them.

So, the majority of gun owners don’t even really know that they have one. We do know that guns are very common in the US and there are plenty of people who have a gun for just that reason, so it doesn’t seem particularly surprising that most people don’t really know that they have one.

One of the people will most likely tell you that they have a gun in their waistband, and if they dont, they wont be able to show you theirs.
