I guess you could own a gun if you’re dishonorably discharged but that’s hardly a good reason. I mean, if you’re discharged for doing something like making a bomb at school, or stealing a gun from a school, it’s not worth it. To me, it’s bad for the person owning the gun.
That is a good thing, but as you probably know, it is also a good thing for the society. Youre discharge for a crime that will never be punished, and for a crime that might never be punished, but will be. Its better for society that a person who is dishonorably discharged be allowed to own a gun than be disarmed for a crime he might never be punished for.
This is something that we haven’t talked much about, but it is something that can make a difference for your own safety. The only way that I can think of is to do something that you would like to do in the future. The best way to do this is to avoid doing something that you would want to do. You think it might be fun to try out some new gun? So do that and then buy the gun, just in case.
